Finance Paralegal Job Description

A finance paralegal is someone who works on finance and banking law matters under the supervision of licensed attorneys in a law office, in-house bank or financial institution legal department. Finance paralegals do not practice law, as they are not licensed attorneys, but they help in many finance law matters, including those involving bank loans, credit agreements, preparing and filing financing statements, and preparing initial drafts of security agreements and collateral descriptions. Finance paralegals are also called finance legal assistants.

Finance Paralegal

The candidate will be managing closing checklists, due diligence review (including title and survey), and preparing initial drafts of loan documents. Should have 6+ years’ experience with lender-side commercial real estate financing transactions. Must have outstanding organizational and time-management skills; possess the ability to exercise practical judgment; and be highly motivated self-starters. Accuracy, attention to detail and strong proofreading skills are essential.

Finance Paralegal

The candidate should have 5-7 years’ experience working in a financial or law firm setting. Assist General Counsel in reviewing, amending and finalizing agreement and other documents with clients and vendors. Update agreement templates, and ensure updated templates are made available internally and to external clients. Maintain files including client files, Board files, vendor files and others as necessary. Write business correspondence and perform general administrative tasks as assigned. Bachelor’s Degree is needed.

Project Finance Paralegal

The candidate should have knowledge of FERC, regulatory issues as well as project finance/corporate transactional experience to join renowned team. In this rolewill work closely with attorneys on a wide range of projects including filings, document production and review in connection with domestic and international project financings. Should have prior paralegal experience with financing transactions, FERC filings, blue booking and cite checking.

Corporate Finance Paralegal

The candidate will support attorneys in busy commercial finance practice. Qualified candidate must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must have strong verbal skills to communicate with clients on a daily basis.

Corporate/Finance Paralegal

The candidate will prepare and file multiple state license applications, prepare client memos and general support of the practice. Will also need to prepare and file multiple state license applications, prepare client memos and general support of the practice. Should have 5+ years of experience. Cite checking experience is required.
