Novus Law was pleased to announce this week that it is the first firm in the global legal profession to earn an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001/9001 combined security (27001) and quality (9001) certification based on an independent audit performed by UL DQS, Inc. (formerly Underwriters Laboratories).
According to an August 2nd prweb.com press release, Novus president and CEO Raymond Bayley was quoted as saying: ''We are proud to be the first firm in the legal profession to achieve this global certification in both security and quality management from UL DQS. The legal industry is continuing to embrace the reality that better work processes, quality management and control systems can have an enormous impact on their bottom line. Novus Law is uniquely positioned to address that reality, which is further reinforced by this certification.''
The Novus Process™, which is the company's comprehensive document review, management and analysis process for document intensive matters, including litigation, investigations, bankruptcies, mergers and acquisitions, earned a global InnovAction Award from the College of Law Practice Management. In addition, Novus Law became an inductee in the College's hall of fame. This was the first time either honor had been given to an organization other than a law firm.
According to the press release, the Novus Process has enabled clients to reduce costs from 60-80% for document management, review and analysis.
