'A Family attorney is a lawyer who assists clients with civil legal matters that pertain to the family unit. Family attorneys represent clients in matters involving divorce, alimony, paternity, emancipation of children, child custody, domestic violence, property division upon divorce, and constitutional issues defining marriage.
Here are a few sample family attorney job descriptions:
Family Law Attorney
The candidate should have 2 years of family law experience. Must have experience in managing own case load with staff and management support. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.
Family Law Associate
The candidate will make court appearances on a regular basis; candidates must have significant experience drafting motions, arguing law and motion matters, and taking and defending depositions. Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should be a mid- to senior level associate attorney with 3-6 years of experience. Family law experience in a law firm setting is preferred. Candidates with significant civil litigation experience in a law firm setting and a demonstrated interest in family law may be considered. Should have substantial client contact. Familiarity with basic business valuation principles, financial statements and tax concepts is preferred.
Family Law Attorney
The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 3-4 years of experience. Family law judicial clerkship preferred and New Jersey Bar admission required.
Family Law Associate
The candidate should have 3-5 years of matrimonial experience. Must have significant hands-on experience with drafting matrimonial motions and pleadings.
The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 3-4 years of experience. Family law judicial clerkship preferred and New Jersey Bar admission required.
Family Law Associate
The candidate should have 3-5 years of matrimonial experience. Must have significant hands-on experience with drafting matrimonial motions and pleadings.
Family Law Associate
The candidate will have the opportunity to handle own cases as well as work closely with the Family Law Partner. Should have 1+ years of experience in family law. Must have good standing with the Washington State Bar; and, excellent communication skills.
Family Law Attorney
The candidate will be attending hearings, mediations, depositions, etc. Must be admitted to the Florida Bar and a member in good standing. Must have 1-3 years of experience as an Attorney or previously employed as a Paralegal. Must be capable of managing clients and providing professional service to clientele. Must have a background or strong desire to enter family law; divorce, paternity, custody disputes, child support enforcement and adoptions.
Seeking a Family Law Attorney with 2+ years of family law experience. Will manage own case load with staff and management support. Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar.'
