Franchise Attorney Jobs
A Franchise Attorney is a person working in the area of law concerned with the right or license given to an individual or group to market a company's product or services in a particular region under the company's trademark, trade name, or service mark. He/she helps with franchise contract usually governed not only by general business law issues and contract law, but in many states also by a body of rules and regulations specific to franchise business. Clients can seek the services of an experienced lawyer when contemplating buying a business franchise. Attorneys provide valuable services in negotiating the franchise agreement and reviewing the state franchise rules and regulations. The attorney assists the franchisee in setting up the business operation itself, hiring employees, gaining any necessary financing and establishing the underlying business entity that will buy the actual franchise. Besides law qualifications and State Bar registration, relevant work experience will always be asked for. Ability to review the franchise law of the state in which the franchise will be operated becomes essential to ensure compliance by the franchiser, the person offering the franchise for sale. Skills in negotiating and interpreting contracts generally are valued more.
