Counsel to Counsel is a blog run by Stephen E. Seckler, a legal coach. He serves on the Law Practice Management Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association where he was the Vice Chair last year. He also spent four years as the Managing Director of the Boston office for BCG Attorney Search. Prior to starting the Boston office of BCG, he spent eight years starting his own consulting firm, Seckler Legal Consulting.
Seckler works to help attorneys and other professionals find satisfaction in their careers and success in their marketing strategies. His relationship with managing partners, department chairs, leaders of the bar, and in-house counsel makes him a knowledgeable expert in the legal industry.
His blog deals with career and marketing issues that the legal community faces. It is a part of the Law.com Network and has been named twice to the ABA Journal’s Blawg 100, which are the 100 best Web sites run by lawyers that are for lawyers.
Seckler graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 1988. He decided not to practice law and has never regretted that decision. He finds much more pleasure out of helping lawyers be successful in their career choice.
Many of the blog articles focus on little lessons that can be learned that will make a big difference in the life and happiness of lawyers. One article stresses the importance of setting boundaries to create a work life balance that gives a lawyer time to breathe and relax.
