Associate’s Mind: Professional Development for (new) Lawyers is a resourceful and lighthearted approach to legal issues. The creator of the blog, Keith Lee, is a lawyer in Birmingham, Alabama. He started the blog five years ago when he was in his last year of law school.
The year 2010 was a big one for Lee. He was working 40-50 hours a week as a clerk at an insurance defense firm while in his last year of school, competing in triathlons, getting ready to celebrate his 5th year wedding anniversary, and celebrating his son’s second birthday. Free time was rare, but he knew hard work pays off.
Within just a few months of starting the blog, it had become one of the most popular ones like it in the country. Lee has since written the book “The Marble and The Sculptor” for the ABA and is writing another one for them. The book has been and continues to be a bestseller. Lee also writes a weekly column for Above the Law.
Lee frequently speaks about law schools, professional development, the legal industry, technology, and social media/blogging. He also provides consulting to law firms that want to progress their marketing for young lawyers, mindfulness, professional development programs, and understanding of social media.
The blog covers business, law school, legal news, professional development, technology, news, and Zen.
