According to court documents, even though Kuhnhausen could have faced up to 10 years in state prison, even after dropping 12 counts against him, prosecutors will be recommending against prison time.

The teenager had told the police that she and Kuhnhausen began having sex just after her 17th birthday in August 2012 and the relationship continued through January 2013. Search warrants show that the investigators believed the teen was pimped to Kuhnhausen by a mutual acquaintance who had supplied prostitutes to the lawyer in the past.

Kuhnhausen's acquaintance admitted to the police that he had asked for a "90-pound female" which the acquaintance interpreted to mean he wanted younger girls. From about October 2012, law enforcement began receiving tips that a 17-year-old was being pimped to Kuhnhausen.

The investigators brought the teen in for an interview at the police station in February 2013. She admitted that almost every time she would visit Kuhnhausen "they would have a couple shots of Patron of Jagermeister, smoke a little weed and have sex." The teen also told the police that Kuhnhausen gave her marijuana cookies.

She also said that Kuhnhausen was aware of her age, as she had told him that she wasn't old enough to buy smoking papers - the minimum age for which is 18 years.

Though no drug charges have been filed against the 66-year-old lawyer, the police had recovered at least four grams of marijuana along with a purple glass bong from the house of the lawyer.
