Nancy was born and raised in Denver, CO. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri, she worked as a television news reporter and producer. During her twenty years of marriage, Nancy relocated several times for her husband's career while raising three children. She was blindsided by divorce when she found out that her husband had a secret life and had been making exit plans to abandon the marriage for some time.
Nancy learned how to work with her divorce team and she earned a Paralegal Certificate from Capital Law School's Paralegal Program in Columbus, OH. She then served as a paralegal in law firms specializing in bankruptcy and family law. Nancy received training from a coaching program approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She is a member of the eWomen Network, Dames Bond, Women's Toolbox, and the ICF Columbus. Nancy is also an expert contributor for Divorce Magazine, Life Thru Divorce, Divorced Moms, and the Huffington Post. She is available for group and individual coaching, workshops, and public speaking.

Who has a tougher time recovering from a divorce, men or women? Why? "I believe that both have great difficult recovering, but women tend to turn inward and seek out emotional support, while men tend to get into new relationships to try to block out the pain they are experiencing."
What is the best advice Nancy can give to a person blindsided by a divorce? "Get the best guidance right from the start of divorce, because how a divorce starts often affects the way it continues and then ends."
