Sacks is a private client lawyer serving individuals and families of high net-worth, both internationally and in the U.S. Prior to being selected as global chairman of Withers LLP, Sacks was the Managing Director of the New York office of the law firm and its Senior Partner for the US region.

He joined Withers LLP as a partner in 2003 and is known for developing the law firm's successful practice in Latin America. He is most well-known for advising family businesses in structuring their business interests, including the organization of charitable foundations, family offices, and trusts and estates. Sacks advises his clients on comprehensive risk management, governance and succession planning.

On the occasion of becoming the global chairman of Withers, Sacks affirmed, "Withers is committed to being the premier international law firm dedicated to helping the owners of private capital by providing integrated advice across the range of personal, business and public-interested issues they may face. I look forward to continuing to build on that commitment and the quality of our services to our clients."

As a practicing attorney, Sacks is a member of the bar of the State of New York and in the Federal District Court for the Southern District of New York. He studied law at the Columbia Law School, and during his tenure as a student there he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, a Charles Evans Hughes Fellow, and Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review.

He speaks frequently on international wealth planning and advises banks and trusts on fiduciary matters.

Speaking on his appointment, he said, "I am honored to assume the role of chairman and will strive to continue the exemplary work of my predecessor Anthony Indaimo."
