As a result of her past experience, King walked into her job as the Assistant Dean for Career Services at Creighton University School of Law with a thorough understanding of her responsibilities. But beyond that, she also brought with her an in-depth understanding of student and alumni needs. As a law school graduate, King can put herself into the shoes of those she advises. She has worked in a number of areas within the legal profession and has gathered extensive insight and experience to share with students and graduates in need of career guidance.

Prior to accepting a position with the Career Services Office at Washington University School of Law, King spent six years in St. Louis, Missouri at Herzog Crebs, LLP where she focused on commercial litigation. She was also an associate at Thompson Coburn, LLP for almost three years. Additionally, she has served as an advocate with Voices for Children, working primarily on issues concerning children who have been caught in the legal system as a result of abuse and neglect.

King is currently a member of the Omaha Bar Association, the Robert M. Spire Chapter of the American Inns of Court, the American Bar Association, and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). She is admitted to practice in both Missouri and Illinois.

King attended Vanderbilt University Law School in Tennessee, where she gained practical experience through her work with the Vanderbilt Legal Clinic and with the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Missouri, summa cum laude.
