, a growing employment and labor law firm from Atlanta, is opening new offices in San Francisco. The firm targeted two law firms in San Francisco to recruit more partners for the new location. Thomas McInerney hopped on; he came from Thelen, Reid, Brown, Raysman & Steiner, LLP. Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart has 33 offices around the country. The firm has more than 400 attorneys in its offices and is the third-largest employment and labor law firm in the nation. Douglas Farmer, who was part of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, LLP, will be the managing partner for the new office.Firm Creates Climate Change Practice Group
Stinson Morrison Hecker has formed a climate change practice group. The firm has assigned around 30 of its lawyers, including David Bengtson, the firm's Wichita managing partner, to run the group. The firm, which is based in Kansas City, MO, created the group due to client requests and climate change legislation at the state and federal levels.
