<<"The E-guide to Public Service at America's Law Schools is a free interactive online resource that provides a broad range of information about public interest programs and curricula at 116 law schools," a March 30 press release stated.
The e-book lists information on clinical and externship programs, the size of the schools' public service staffs, loan repayment programs that are offered, and much more. This way, students looking to go into public service work can compare and contrast various law schools to see which one would be the right choice for their particular situation. However, the e-book does not rank the schools like U.S. News & World Report does. Instead, it simply provides information on the schools, much of which is information that is not included in the U.S. News & World Report ranking.
"Justice Works...created the e-guide to fill the void in existing commercial publications by providing information about public service in law schools and about factors many consider essential to a quality legal education," the press release stated.
The e-book is geared toward students applying to law school, current law students, undergrad advisors, faculty, attorneys, and anyone else researching legal education. The organization is planning for the second addition of the e-book to be available in August of this year.
According to the press release, Equal Justice Works is currently "the national leader in creating summer and postgraduate public interest opportunities for law students and lawyers as well as in urging more public interest programming at law schools."
You can view the e-book online at http://ejw.newsweek.com, where it is hosted by Newsweek.com.
