Clifford Chance LLP has appointed partner Paul Seraganian as the new leader of the firm's tax, pensions, and employment practice in the Americas, effective May 1. Seraganian, who joined the firm in November 2021, has over 15 years of experience, including serving as managing partner of the New York office at Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. He is known for his expertise in advising clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financings, and restructurings. Seraganian will replace David Moldenhauer, retiring from the partnership at the end of his term on April 30.
In a statement released on Thursday, Paul Seraganian expressed his excitement for the current market dynamics and the role America's tax, pensions, and employment group will play. He acknowledged the strong foundation established under David's leadership and the exceptional people in the local and global teams. He is confident that the tax, pensions, and employment practice will continue to be a source of strength for the firm.
Moreover, in January, the firm revealed that Sharis Arnold Pozen, co-chair of the global antitrust group, will take over as the managing partner for the Americas, replacing Evan Cohen, for a four-year term starting May 1. With these new appointments, Clifford Chance is making significant moves to strengthen its leadership and expertise in critical areas, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the legal industry.
