Summary: Lawyers with Depression is a resource for any attorney struggling with the demands of their job and life so that they understand they are not alone.

Dan Lukasik runs the Lawyers with Depression blog.

Blog “Lawyers with Depression” is run by Dan Lukasik, a 1988 graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Law. He is now a managing partner at Bernhardi Lukasik PLLC where he works on cases in state and federal courts across New York.

Lukasik experienced his own depression around ten years ago when he was 40. It took him time, medication, therapy, and the loving support of friends and family to make it through the depression. He wanted to contribute to a website with an article about his experience, but could not find a website out there. All he could find was statistics on the high rates of depression for those in the legal industry. While general information on depression is helpful, being an attorney with depression is different and needs a slightly different approach.

On the website, Lukasik provides frequent blog posts as well as featured guest articles. Being able to read what advice Lukasik has to give as well as numerous other lawyers, doctors, and other professionals on their experiences with depression and what depression really is all about will give anyone that is struggling some peace of mind. The feeling of being alone will be diminished as readers learn more about what others have gone through.
