UC Davis Law Delves into Feminist Legal Theory

A blog run by women at the University of California, Davis School of Law titled “Feminist Legal Theory” provides an outlet for women to discuss and examine the role that women have in the workforce. The blog has a variety of contributing authors.

One topic the blog has covered extensively is the role of women in the military. Back in May of 2015, the U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee debated for 18 hours before finally approving a $612 billion defense policy bill. Part of the debate centered on women in combat forces. The post points out that despite the field being predominantly male, women have served important roles. The post is well researched and argued, being more than just a review of another article on another site.

The blog examines any aspect that involves women in the workplace and in society such as in comics, sociology, prostitution, science, politics, media, and anything else that may come up. The blog clearly supports Hillary Clinton, because she is a female politician in a male world. Posts on Clinton bring up how she isn’t afraid to speak up for herself despite how media has a way of silencing women.

While the blog may not be to everyone’s liking, it does provide valid points that are worth discussing, especially when it comes to the legal field.
