Search fee (non-refundable, includes certified copy if found) - $34.00; additional copies ordered at the same time - $16.00 each; search of more than one year - $12.00 for each additional year. Person age 65 plus requesting own birth record, $14.00. Expedited service also available by mail for an addl. $12.00 fee. All online orders are considered to be "rush" orders and the $12.00 fee automatically applies. Photo ID required for birth record and affidavit of parentage requests. Do not issue wallet size. May also order in person and request same-day service in the Lansing office. Orders must be placed by 3 P.M. Checks payable to State of Michigan.
