This week was not my finest, nor my most enjoyable. I actually had a lot of great times and great moments, but I let my stress and my schedule get the better of me, rather than doing my best to handle it well. We can't choose what life life sends our way, but we can certainly decide how we react to whatever cards we're dealt.
Rather than taking what I was given and approaching it with a positive and appreciative attitude, I played the victim. I complained, I let myself become stressed and overwhelmed, and worst of all I took it out on my friends around me. Yes, we will all have our bad days, our bad weeks or even our bad seasons in life. But we are not and should not be the victims of our own circumstances. God only gives us situations that he knows we can handle and that we can learn from. Well, this week I learned! I will not play the victim of my life anymore. I can't access a computer all day? Boo hoo. My job is boring and tedious? At least I have one! And I'm stressed that I can't get anything done? It will get done, breathe. #firstworldproblems I need to look at all the great things that I have in my life, and learn how to schedule and manage the other things that are causing me stress and a negative attitude. With some prayer, some scheduling and a better outlook, I'm hoping that next week goes much, much better. Do you ever play the victim? How do you handle stressful situations? How do you change your attitude when things aren't going well?
