Can Litigators Be Introverts?
We asked two attorneys if litigators can be introverts. Both men agree that there is no reason why introverts can't be great litigators. Here is what they had to say.

As for introverts and litigators: I can tell you from personal experience that introverts can indeed be litigators, and successful…They may feel more stress before entering a courtroom than an extrovert, but once the lights are on them they can be successful...Ironically, in my case frequent litigation had a positive effect on my personality. Or at least that's what I am told.

Sure, why not? I consider myself an introvert: I avoid large happy hour crowds; large parties; or other big social events. I prefer a quiet evening at home or with just a couple of friends. Considering most of a litigator's time is spent writing anyways, there's no reason why an introvert can't make a great litigator. In fact, it's actually an advantage because most attorney extroverts are also super arrogant, which turns off juries.
