The Dewey Disaster Update: Office of the Chairman Now Empty, Sued for Unpaid Rent
Dewey is now without any top management. The last remaining partner in the “office of the chairman” has left. L. Charles Landgraf, a D.C. lobbyist, has gone over to Arnold & Porter.
But a spokesman for Dewey said that the firm was not formally closed. Stephen Horvath is now the top manager of the law firm, or whatever is left of it. He was already in charge of the day-to-day operations as executive partner. There are still an estimated 50 partners left at the firm.
In other news about the firm, the lawsuits seem to keep piling up. The firm is now accused of not paying almost a million dollars in rent on its Washington D.C. office premises.
