GAA was founded in Texas in 1981 by Yahne Gibson. By the mid- 1990s, the firm was also working with contract attorneys for document review projects and in 2003 and 2008, respectively, GAA opened its Colorado and Houston review centers.

Today, the firm operates under the guidance of President and CEO Melinda Delmonico, who purchased GAA in 2004. Delmonico initially joined GAA in 1992 and was heavily involved in the opening of the Denver office. Immediately before joining the firm, she was the director of CMS/Data Corporation, which served law firms through financial information and time-based billing software and systems.

Delmonico regularly presents job market information to law schools and the legal industry. She is an associate member of the Denver/Colorado Bar Association and also a member of the Corporate Secretary Association, the Alliance of Professional Women, and the Denver Metro Chamber. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and a Minor in Journalism from Texas A&M University.

Clients turn to GAA for a number of legal needs including managed review services, e-discovery projects, litigation support, privileged document review, law firm mergers, lateral partner searches, general counsel searches, retained executive legal searches, and career consultations. Placement services can be provided on a full-time permanent, temporary, or contract basis, depending on client need.

GAA credits its structured search process for its high rate of placement success. Before any search can take place, recruiters meet with clients to develop an understanding of their business, goals, and candidate requirements. Next, recruiters do their own research on both the client's company and on competing companies. After studying the market, recruiters are able to create a customized package that features desired candidate qualities, areas of interest, and more.

GAA's clients include local, national, and international law firms and corporations, while candidates include legal professionals at all levels. Recruiters work with and recruit candidates from various locations and areas of specialization, thus providing clients with a range of qualified candidates. GAA updates its candidate database frequently to ensure that available and interested candidates can be accessed quickly when an employment opportunity arises.

Each candidate goes through an exhaustive screening process that includes a resume review, background check, and skill verification. After presenting clients with the best candidate picks, GAA is also available to schedule interviews, negotiate compensation, and otherwise ensure a smooth transition.

GAA is also equipped to handle large scale document review projects. The firm provides a full range of review services, from providing the contract employees to quality control. GAA's review facilities offer workstations and secure around-the-clock access.
