Susan Mac Cormac is promoting the cause of environmental sustainability
Morrison & Foerster's business department and the cleantech group's co-chair, Susan Mac Cormac has been endorsing the cause of environmental sustainability among what is seen as swiftly declining and radically mispriced natural resources. She calls it ‘the mission of my life'. This mission has consumed many of Mac Cormac's odd moments since 2001, and it hasn't been Susan's alone. She has served as a co-chair along with R. Todd Johnson, energy partner at Jones Day, and Silicon Valley attorney Derrick Britt. Whether Susan reaches her goal is yet to be decided. If any company wants to define itself as a flexible purpose corporation, it will soon be able to by writing its articles of incorporation such that gives a lot of influence to support a specific social mission.
