Miles is currently a Sustaining Member and Executive Committee Member with the Alabama Association for Justice and at one time served as the president of the Montgomery Trial Lawyers Association. For two years in a row, Miles was selected as one of Alabama Super Lawyers. He volunteers for the Montgomery County YMCA, is a formidable fund raiser and was appointed to serve on the Advisory Board of his alma mater, Samford University. These commitments he takes pride in. He's ethical, dedicated and focused on the legal system in this country and works hard for the rights of others.
Earlier this year, Miles took on one of the nation's most popular fast food restaurants, Taco Bell. His suit, filed on behalf of his client, stated real beef wasn't used in its restaurants. His lawsuit sought to force the fast food chain to change its disclosures regarding its ingredients. The filing of the lawsuit forced Taco Bell to incur legal expenses and the company said early on the accusations resulted in a major counter attack initiative that included full size ads in several of the nation's biggest markets along with many public declarations of Miles' information being wrong. For his part, Miles insists the right thing was done by the company and as a result, Miles and his law firm did not pursue further legal action. He said in a prepared statement, ''From the inception of this case, we stated that if Taco Bell would make certain changes regarding disclosure and marketing of its seasoned beef product, the case would be dismissed''. They made those changes and the announcement was made in mid-April that the case had concluded as far as Miles and his firm, Beasley Allen, were concerned.
The Alabama native currently resides in Montgomery County, Ala with his wife and four children.
