We showcase the University of Richmond School of Law just as it's seeking a new dean. At the time of this writing, there are four contenders, including Wendy Perdue, who is currently a professor and Associate Dean at Georgetown University Law Center, along with Joel Reidenberg, also law professor at Fordham School of Law, Jeffrey Rosen, a law professor at George Washington School of Law and Michael Seigel, a law professor at the University of Florida School of Law. These candidates are currently touring the Richmond campus and will be doing so throughout the month of February. It's an exciting time for the campus as the winds of change are in the air.

The main building is set in traditional brick, with beautiful archways and heavy doors that set the scene. Huge window frames showcase small panes in perfect contrast with the smaller windows that center those doors. It's an overwhelming experience for those who see the majestic beauty of the campus for the first time. Nine centers gracefully flow throughout the remainder of the campus, including the Institute for Actual Instance; a crisp white and towering building that's indicative of many courthouses throughout the country. Grand columns stand proud and welcoming to those in need of assistance via an innocence project. The Robert R. Merhige, Jr. Center for Environmental Studies allows to students to delve into all things environmental. Research, public outreach and generating dialogue for policy solutions are all part of this program. The Mid Atlantic Juvenile Defender Center works to help those most vulnerable in our society. Several other centers complete the offering for arriving law students.

The University of Richmond School of Law offers several financial solutions, including scholarships, for those wishing to further their educations. Merit scholarships are based on academic achievements and an aptitude for law. The facility's financial aid office stands ready to provide any assistance it can for its student body with a staff of highly trained and educated members whose only goal is to find the right financial solutions. Tuition for the 2010-2011 year is $34,070. Housing is made available as well. Single housing is $4,510 while the summer session for eight weeks room and board is $1,884. There are four meal plans, which dorm residents are required to purchase one of these.
