The firm specializes in recruiting corporate in-house counsel and in placing partners and associates within law firms. San Francisco-based legal publications The Recorder recently chose Swan Legal Search as one of the top three legal recruiting offices in the country. A survey of the legal community throughout California is conducted by The Recorder each year asking opinions about lawyers, firms and companies. Three firms were suggested for Best Lawyer Recruiting Firm; however, Swan Legal Search was not one of the suggestions. Instead, Swan Legal Search became the winner purely through write-in vote.

Swan Legal Search is made up of former practicing attorneys who are experienced and understand the tasks and practice area expertise needed to match clients and candidates. Delia K. Swan, Esq. founded Swan Legal Search in November of 1997. Swan attended University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1986. She then graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 1990. While in law school, Swan externed at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals with Judge Arthur L Alarcon. After graduation Swan practiced transactional law in Los Angeles.

Also working on the Swan Legal Search team is Erin L. Curran, Esq. who received her J.D. from Vermont Law School with a focus on environmental law. Curran joined the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and worked as an environmental attorney. Harvey L. Gould, Esq. received his J.D. in 1969 from Northwestern Law School. Gould began a private practice as a business attorney and trial lawyer. Currently, he is working on lateral partner moves for Swan Legal Search. Christie Rey Johnson, Esq. is another member of Swan Legal Search team and earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2001 and her Masters of Studies in Environmental Law degree from Vermont Law School.
