When she was in private practice, Quatela focused on defense litigation with her specialty in mass tort cases. Quatela formerly practiced securities law and was the president of a family of mutual funds at the employee-owned, investment manager Clover Capital Management. SASIB Railway GRS, which supplies railway signaling equipment, services, and systems, employed Quatela as general counsel, corporate secretary, and chief administrative officer, and Quatela was also lead counsel for the Ray-Ban business at optical health product supplier Bausch & Lomb, Inc.
Quatela came to Eastman Kodak Company in 1999. Within the company's legal department, Quatela was charged with a variety of positions within the marketing, antitrust, trademark and litigation staff departments. Shortly after in 2002, she was appointed as Director of Finance Transformation, and Vice President of Finance and Administration. By 2004 she was advanced to Director of Corporate Commercial Affairs and Assistant General Counsel. Then, in 2006, Quatela was elected Vice President of the company by the board of directors, a position she still holds.
In January 2008, Quatela became accountable for IP strategy and policy of the Senior IP Strategy Council, and external IP affairs when she assumed the role of chief intellectual property officer. Quatela then added on the responsibility of directing strategic cross-licensing and royalty-bearing licensing activities for Eastman Kodak, including developing licensing strategy, negotiating and structuring licenses, and managing IP valuations and investments when she went on to become Managing Director, Intellectual Property Transactions.
Now, as Eastman Kodak Company's new General Counsel, Quatela will be responsible for heading up the company's legal organization.
