In 1978, Joe Wilkins founded the firm and Senith Tipton joined as senior partner. Partner, Joseph Taylor Stephens, passed away in 2003 at the age of 64 years. Presently, the firm employs 80 including 27 attorneys.
In Nashville, the law firm of Hollins, Wagster, Weatherly & Raybin PC has changed its name to Hollins, Raybin and Weissman PC to reflect the current shareholders of the firm after three of the shareholders left the company to start up their own legal firm. The three shareholders, Jim Weatherly, Patrick McNally and Jacqueline Dixon, opened for business under the name Weatherly, McNally and Dixon, PLC in Nashville and will target personal injury, domestic relations and criminal defence litigation.
Also from Tennessee, the Clarksville law firm of Patton & Pittman announced that attorney B. Nathan Hunt has been elected
partner of the firm after
serving as an associate for the past five years. Attorneys Greg Patton and Chris Pittman joined forces to open the law firm in January 2005 and offer representation in various
areas of the law.

Late in December, the law firm of Burns, White & Hickton, LLC, in Pittsburgh opened two new offices in Harrisburg and Cherry Hill, N.J. The firm was founded in 1987, and employs almost 100 attorneys throughout its eight offices.
