You need to take the state bar exam for the state in which you would like to practice law, so that the state knows you know what you are talking about. Once you have gotten a passing score on the bar exam, you can be a U.S. attorney in that state. You will want to find a job working with attorneys that practice the same type of law that you are interested in, so that you know you will be happy with the type of law that you are practicing. Therefore, you want to be sure that you are happy with the type of law that you have started working on.
