The program's rigorous training provides students with sound legal content, analytical skills, and communication competencies, making Husson grads attractive in the job market. Paralegals and legal assistants make up one of the top 10 fastest growing professions in the country.
Husson offers paralegal students three study options: the Bachelor of Science degree program, the Associate of Science degree program, and the one-year non-degree Certificate Program in Paralegal Studies.
In addition to the required professional courses, the bachelor's and associate's degree options include supplementary general-education courses to help students cultivate analytical and communication skills and develop insight into the economic, political, and social framework of the country's legal system.
Paralegal candidates are eligible to minor in psychology, computer information services, behavioral science, natural science, history, biology, accounting, mathematics, English, or hospitality management in conjunction with the B.S. in Paralegal Studies degree. Paralegal studies students also have access to Westlaw when conducting online research and have opportunities to create individualized internship experiences based on their legal specialties of interest.
