The Century City firm was founded in 1988, and it has grown to service both national and international clients. From its Los Angeles hub, Christensen Glaser provides top-notch legal services to its clients worldwide. The firm focuses on recruiting attorneys who are customer-service minded and who put their clients first. In addition, the firm encourages creativity in legal work.

Because of its location in Los Angeles, it's no surprise that Christensen Glaser has plenty of big-name clients, including motion picture studios, on-screen talent, real estate developers, banks, and recording artists. In short, if you want to be an integral part of what's happening in Los Angeles, Christensen Glaser is where you want to be.

In the past, the firm has worked on a myriad of high-profile cases, including Avram v. Jackson (in which Marcel Avram sued Michael Jackson after Jackson backed out of two concerts) and Hayes v. The Walt Disney Company (in which the estate of Harold Lloyd sued The Walt Disney Company for overstepping copyright boundaries). In addition, the firm has represented the Los Angeles Unified School District, Rally's Hamburgers, Inc., the City of Los Angeles, and Avis Rent-A-Car System, Inc.

The firm's philosophy has seven components that promise its clients cost efficiency, excellent trial lawyers, a focus on quality, experts in all areas of business, the latest technology, a community of attorneys and wealth of information through the Meritas network, and experience in providing privacy and respect in high-profile cases.

So what exactly does the firm look for when it's hiring new associates? "Well-rounded individuals with the potential to become leaders both within and beyond the legal profession," the firm's website states.

While the firm's hiring department does most of its recruiting and hiring from well-known law schools, it isn't opposed to hiring students who have performed well at lesser-known schools. Overall, the firm looks for students who have stellar grades, experience of some kind (such as a judicial clerkship), and excellent writing skills. They also look favorably on students who have written for their schools' law reviews.

"The firm is an equal opportunity employer," Christensen Glaser's website states. "We are an ethnically, racially, religiously, sexually, culturally, and personally diverse group, and we strive to maintain our diversity in the belief that it enhances our ability to serve our clients and our community."
