The summer line includes a variety of sets with varying display sizes: a 63-inch display, 50-inch display, and 42-inch display. By incorporating its own FilterBright technology, Samsung was able to create TVs that sport the very best picture quality without scrimping on size. Boasting things like "sharper image details" and "drastically reduced reflection," the innovative TVs are setting a new standard for home entertainment systems.
FilterBright, Samsung's patented film proven to reduce reflection, creates an improved viewing experience by increasing black contrast.
"FilterBright is a powerful anti-reflective film that absorbs external light and transmits internal light, thereby increasing the contrast levels and preventing unwanted reflection," the company explained in a press release. "In bright daylight, FilterBright creates high contrast with pure black to show clearer image details and generate superb industry-leading dark area representation."
"Samsung is in a unique position to leverage its exclusive FilterBright technology with industry-leading color, contrast, and brightness, placing us at the cutting edge of HDTV research and development," said Bill Dickey, Senior Marketing Manager for Plasma Display Panels for Samsung Electronics America, in a press release. "Samsung's plasma screens represent the pinnacle of manufacturing and design expertise. This technology advantage puts Samsung plasmas at the forefront of the flat-panel revolution with superior picture and style in high-demand screen sizes to accommodate almost any home environment."
The 63-inch HP-R6372, currently selling for $9,999, is less than 4 inches deep and manages to produce one of the best HD pictures on the market. With a sleek, simplistic design, the HP-R6372 is a whole lot of screen. In fact, even its speakers are hidden underneath, so they don't draw your eyes away from what's really important. With sparkling clarity and detail, viewers can watch all their favorite digital broadcasts simply by using the TV's CableCARD technology and imbedded HD tuner.
The 50-inch is currently being sold for $3,999, and the 42-inch is available for $2,999.
