DLA Piper Rudnick acquires Ernst & Young's Russian office
DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary has acquired Ernst & Young Law's 77-lawyer practice in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), effective July 1. The deal boosts DLA Piper's small existing practice in Russia into the top three firms—based on the number of lawyers—and gives it offices in Georgia and Ukraine. The acquisition is the largest transaction in the Russian legal market to date.

Fisher & Phillips merges with Jacob & Mills
Atlanta labor and employment boutique Fisher & Phillips has merged with Jabob & Mills, a New Jersey firm with more than a dozen attorneys. This is the firm's first office in the Northeast and allows it to have a New York-area presence without having to charge New York rates. The merger now gives Fisher & Phillips 15 offices and nearly 200 lawyers across the country.

Wilmer Cutler expands to the West
Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr is opening an office in Palo Alto, CA, the firm's first West Coast office. The office will be lead by Curtis Mo from Weil Gotshal & Manges, who once headed Brobeck Phleger & Harrison's Silicon Valley corporate practice and the firm's national capital markets group.

LeBoeuf Lamb attorney joins Thompson & Knight
Thompson & Knight has opened an office in London with the addition of a lawyer from LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae. Anthony Golding worked on corporate transactions for energy and insurance clients at LeBoeuf Lamb, and prior to that, he was general counsel at an oil company.

Two new partners join Hunton & Williams
Hunton & Williams has added two partners in its London office, one from the local office of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft and one from U.K. firm Clyde & Co. The firm now has 10 partners and 19 associates in its London office.
