Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP Reviews

"A Decent Place to Work That Values Work and Life Balance"   - Anonymous      Write an Anonymous Review

Advice to law firm management: Try to make connections with senior members of the firm by doing good work and not getting caught up in the politics of the firm. It's up to you to a large degree to make your own way in seeking out more responsibility and getting noticed for your work. This can help you gain promotions and a higher salary.

Pros: The work atmosphere is pretty laid back, especially for a law firm and the partners respect that employees have lives away from work. The pay is pretty good and the clients are good ones to work with.

Cons: The firm is lacking in organization in some areas and there is a fair amount of turnover. The non-lawyer staff is not always treated well. Politics plays too much of a part in the running of the firm, which is detrimental to the operations of the firm.

"Great Work Environment"   - Anonymous      Write an Anonymous Review

Advice to law firm management: I think the leadership team should step back and let associates work. Micromanaging is sometimes detrimental to getting things done, and it is reducing office morale.

Pros: This firm is a great place to work. The partners are very supportive and everyone is professional and easy to get along with. This is a very diverse and inclusive firm, and the compensation is right where it needs to be.

Cons: The leadership team has been guilty of micromanaging from time to time. Work hours can also be rather long, and it can occasionally be hard to get time off if needed.
