As Senior Legal Counsel, US Employment, you will be responsible for providing proactive, practical, and timely advice on a wide range of US employment issues to the HR team and internal business partners across all business units. You will also play a key role in monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our company. Key Responsibilities: - Provide timely and practical legal advice to HR team and internal business partners on US employment issues - Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and ensure compliance with employment laws - Develop, review, and amend company policies and handbooks to ensure compliance with employment laws - Assist in developing and providing training on employment law compliance to HR and internal business partners - Draft and negotiate employment-related documents and templates - Lead and/or support internal investigations related to employment and human resources issues - Manage employment-related disputes and represent the company in employment matters filed with state and federal agencies - Oversee and manage outside counsel for employment matters Qualifications: - Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school - Active license to practice law as a member in good standing in at least one US state - 6+ years of experience in a dedicated employment law practice - Recent experience advising healthcare/pharma/medical devices preferred - Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws - Ability to provide employment advice for a mixed employee/contractor workforce Why Work for Us?
