Job Title: Senior Business Development Coordinator - (Hybrid Schedule)
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Development (BD) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing business development tactics for the law firm's global Real Estate Group, in collaboration with the Business Development Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with group leaders and key attorneys on firmwide business development activities to develop strong working relationships and maintain daily interactions.
- Collaborating with the BD Manager and Real Estate Practice Group Leader to build and implement strategies to enhance the group's profile and brand image.
- Assisting in the development of agendas and presentations for practice group strategy meetings, including preparing meeting summaries to report progress towards goals.
- Coordinating pitch materials, presentations, and responses to Requests for Proposals, including reviewing and editing content as necessary and supporting the development and maintenance of proposal content and capabilities.
- Ensuring follow-up from clients post-pitch, tracking actions that arise, and assessing how feedback can enhance win rates.
- Coordinating contributions and input related to attorney experience and client information into business development systems, including CRM and Foundation.
- Drafting and editing marketing collateral, including practice area descriptions and attorney biographies, and facilitating updates to the firm website and intranet.
- Collating content for internal newsletters and marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the group's capabilities and experience throughout the firm.
- Preparing and drafting submissions for major awards and legal directories to further the group's awareness and positioning, and maintaining repositories of practice group accolades and awards.
- Ensuring consistent messaging about the group and its experience across all marketing communications channels, including social media in consultation with the digital team.
- Working with communications and media staff to identify and pursue PR opportunities in key legal trade and industry publications and surveys.
- Supporting brand positioning efforts, including managing conference sponsorships, firm-hosted events, client presentations, seminars, and webinars.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
Education: A college degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
Experience: The position requires 3-5 years of experience in a marketing-related field, including at least one year of business development experience and demonstrated project leadership. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred. Previous experience in marketing, public relations, events, or media is a plus, along with an interest in and ability to understand the legal business environment and industry terminology. Candidates must have demonstrated experience working independently and within cross-functional teams in a professional environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and strong computer skills.
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new database systems.
- Extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and self-directed with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines, sometimes with minimal oversight.
- Ability to demonstrate sound professional judgment and a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
- Comfortable establishing effective working relationships with individuals at all levels across the firm.
- Possess strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
Salary Information:
The anticipated pay range for the Senior Business Development Coordinator position varies based on location and experience:
- Dallas/Houston: $80,000 - $105,000
- Chicago: $85,000 - $110,000

Working Conditions:
The position requires working in the office at least three days per week, with the possibility of occasionally working hours beyond the normal daily schedule. The weekly schedule details will be discussed with the direct supervisor.
