Job Title: Bankruptcy Processor
Job Responsibilities:
- Payment Change: The Bankruptcy Processor is responsible for reviewing and determining if a Payment Change is warranted. If warranted, they must obtain the necessary documents, prepare a payment change notice for attorney review, and file and serve the notice. They are also required to update any applicable client systems.
- Impediments: The processor must review and monitor the Payment Change Impediment Inventory, frequently following up and escalating issues until they are resolved.
- Systems Review: They must review and interpret client systems and update data according to the client’s expectations.
- Report Monitoring: Regular monitoring of reports generated both by the law firm's system and the client’s system is essential to ensure files are handled smoothly and timely.
- Billing Verification: The processor must verify that billing has been entered as needed on each file and subsequently close files accordingly.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A High School Diploma is required.
- A basic understanding of the fundamentals of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies is highly preferred.
General Competency Factors:
- Proficiency with numbers and basic accounting is essential.
- Must be proficient in software tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary.
- Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
- The candidate must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proactivity is a key trait for this role.
Salary Information:
- The position is paid on an hourly basis.
