The Shutts & Bowen law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a Legal Assistant with at least 5 years of experience in a law firm setting, preferably with knowledge of Real Estate and Condominium law. This is a full-time position with regular working hours of Monday through Friday from 9:00 . to 5:30 ., with flexibility for overtime as needed. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Real Estate Practice in the Miami office, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and producing accurate work products.

Responsibilities for this position include creating, editing, and proofreading various legal documents using the firm's best practices. The Legal Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining the timekeeper's calendars, inputting and reviewing time entries, handling monthly client billing, and preparing expense reports. Other duties may include opening new matters, organizing and filing documents, and answering phone calls and emails.

The ideal candidate will have excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and communication skills, along with attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills. They must also be able to work well independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing assignments and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and various legal software programs is also required.
