Job Title: Part-time Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
As a Part-Time Legal Assistant at the law firm, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial for the seamless operation of the legal practice. The role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently multitask in a fast-paced legal environment. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, labeling, and maintaining records.
- Answering telephone calls and handling communications.
- Conducting data entry tasks, including the opening and closing of files.
- Preparing demands to be sent to Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Carriers and filing lawsuits.
- Scheduling hearings and depositions with opposing counsel, judicial assistants, and clients.
- Preparing and responding to multiple discovery requests and procedural motions.
Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the position of Part-Time Legal Assistant, applicants must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- Must possess a High School Diploma.
- Should have the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Should be organized and self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
- Preferred experience includes familiarity with the Florida e-filing portal system.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Should possess a proactive and positive attitude, with good customer service skills.
- Must have a good working level of computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
