At our law firm, the associate will be part of the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits team. The practice involves a mix of executive compensation, equity and other incentive compensation, and ERISA work. The associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

• Drafting and negotiating of executive compensation and employee benefit arrangements
• Advising clients on the design, structure, and implementation of equity and other incentive compensation arrangements
• Providing guidance on ERISA matters, including fiduciary duties, prohibited transactions, and plan qualification and administration
• Assisting with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence related to employee benefits and executive compensation
• Representing clients in dispute resolution and litigation matters
• Researching and staying abreast of the latest developments in the executive compensation and employee benefits fields
• Drafting and reviewing disclosure documents
• Assisting with the preparation of client advice memoranda
• Other tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate for this role will have a JD degree from an accredited law school, and have completed at least one year of law school. The candidate should have excellent research, writing, and communication skills, as well as the ability to think critically and analyze complex legal issues. The candidate should also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should also have a strong interest in the Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice.

Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience working in the executive compensation and employee benefits fields.
