When the attorney that you work for is dealing with a case, it would be your job to go through the various particulars of the case and research other litigations that have been similar. Then, you'll be making points out of those cases, summarizing them, and using them in an organized fashion to help the attorney draft a brief that will give them the basis for their main argument.

There is a lot that you will be expected to do as someone who is dealing with this type of law practice. Most of the time, it is going to be up to you to make sure that no matter what happens, you are working with the lawyers and the attorneys to be sure that all of the information is passed in the right way. You might not be aware of it, but as a litigation paralegal, often the outcome of the case is going to rest on your shoulders. If you are able to provide your attorney with the right information and all of the right knowledge, they will be able to get the right outcome that they are seeking. If not, then the outcome that they get might not be what they are looking for after all, and you might find that it is not what you are looking for either.
