According to a study done by H. Gardner, on multiple intelligences, he originally found there were about seven intelligences. This was a key finding because the facts not only help teachers direct studies better to students, but students can also be aware of their best learning styles to put valuable time using the methods that help them most.

There are currently more than seven intelligences being studied but this article will cover four probably most found among law students. A person might possess any number of the 4 listed. They are not better than other types of intelligences. You will probably find you have at least one of the four mentioned.

To be helpful, the best approach for study will also be covered for every intelligence. Now, you might already have an idea of your best method to study. At the end of the article is a website with a test developed by Dr. Keith Rogers that is short and can identify your intelligence type. The test results will also tell any additional study methods you might use.

1. Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence: This intelligence is one of the most tested on exams like the SAT exams for college entrance and the intelligence tests given in junior high and high school. This intelligence is engaged by the spoken word, reading and writing.
