Associate General Counsel - Employment Law & Investigations - Salary, Job Title and Experience Information

Salary:
- $198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
- Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Job Title:
- Associate General Counsel - Employment Law & Investigations

Experience Information:
- . degree and membership in at least one state bar
- 8+ years of ERISA, employee benefits, and health and welfare experience
- Experience with counseling on, or litigation related to, OSHA, FMLA, and/or ADA
- Experience advising on all aspects of labor and employment, including for example compensation, payroll, employment tax, stock/incentives and M&A.
- Prior in-house legal department experience
- Experience coordinating and driving to completion large-scale projects

Associate General Counsel - Employment Law & Investigations Responsibilities:

H1: Providing Legal Counsel on Employee Benefits Issues

H2: Advising on the design, implementation, and administration of **Members Only**’s NORAM employee benefits plans, including:
- Tax-qualified retirement plans
- Health plans
- Various welfare and fringe benefits plans (., short and long-term disability - including Voluntary Disability Plans - life insurance, survivor benefits, voluntary benefits, wellness, etc.)
- Section 125 cafeteria plans

H2: Drafting and maintaining applicable plan documents, plan amendments, and summary plan descriptions.

H2: Negotiating and drafting contracts with third-party administrators and benefit service providers.

H2: Providing legal advice and counsel relating to compliance with applicable state and federal retirement and health and welfare laws and regulations such as ERISA, state and federal tax, HIPAA, and ACA.

H2: Providing legal counsel to fiduciary committees established to administer **Members Only**’s NORAM employee benefits plans.

H2: Monitoring legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities related to the above substantive legal areas, and providing proactive strategic advice to the Employment Law Group and relevant stakeholders.

H2: Participating in creation and delivery of training related to employment and benefit law matters.

H2: Supporting audits, process reviews, and new policy creation and implementation related to any benefits programs.

H2: Facilitating process improvements, creating efficiencies, and providing trainings as necessary.

H2: Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when necessary to connect with colleagues across regions.

H2: Traveling throughout the US and possibly internationally as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
