Job Title: Paralegal - Trusts and Estates

Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal within the Trusts & Estates Team at the law firm will be responsible for a comprehensive range of tasks related to estate administration. These responsibilities include:

- Working on estate administration matters for both taxable and non-taxable estates.
- Interacting with a wide variety of clients in person, on the phone, via email, and through video conferencing.
- Drafting, editing, and reviewing probate and administration-related documents.
- Assisting clients with the retitling of assets.
- Assembling and organizing financial records for estate tax returns and audits.
- Preparing, editing, and reviewing estate tax returns.
- Preparing fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both informal and formal settlement of estates and trusts.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates interested in the Paralegal position should have:

- A minimum of 3 years of estate administration experience, which is a required qualification.
- Experience in preparing estate and trust accountings, which is also mandatory.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to follow through on numerous ongoing projects in a busy environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, as well as organizational skills.
- Strong proofreading and analytical skills to ensure the top quality of legal documents.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and the ability to efficiently use technology resources.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Paralegal position varies depending on the location and relevant experience for the position. The anticipated weekly schedule also differs by location:

- Albany: - for a workweek.
- Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse: - for a workweek.
- New York City: - for a 35-hour workweek.
- Uniondale and White Plains: - for a 35-hour workweek.
