Job Title: Paralegal (Immigration)
Job Responsibilities:
The Paralegal in the Immigration department at the law firm will be responsible for handling a variety of employment-based immigration cases. The key responsibilities include:
- Managing cases related to PERM applications, National Interest Waiver, and other employment-based green cards.
- Handling E2 investor cases and other work-based visas such as H1B, TN, O1, and P3.
- Drafting and editing complex support letters, ensuring they meet legal standards and client needs.
- Collaborating with attorneys and clients to gather necessary information and documentation for case preparation.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations and deadlines.
- Providing excellent client service and support throughout the immigration process.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a field that emphasizes writing or communication is preferred.
- Experience as a paralegal in an employment-based immigration office is preferred.
- A combination of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Skills Needed for Success:
- Knowledge and experience in employment-based immigration processes are preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills are required for drafting complex support letters.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- A keen attention to detail is required to produce large volumes of accurate work in a busy setting.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Paralegal position is between $55,000 and $65,000. Additionally, paralegals will receive time and one-half compensation for hours worked above 40 hours in a workweek due to client deadlines.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with hybrid flexibility, allowing for two remote days per week based on business needs. Overtime may be required.
