Practice Coordinator - Full Time - Chicago

We are seeking a Practice Coordinator to join our team in Chicago. This role provides direct support to lawyers by performing administrative and legal work. The ideal candidate is an ambitious, self-motivated individual with an interest in the legal profession.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit and proofread various legal documents
- Organize and maintain documents on client databases
- Track deadlines and provide updates to attorneys
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings
- Review and edit pre-bills for billing department
- Interact with clients, outside counsel, and others as needed
- Manage physical and electronic files
- Assist with time entry and client billing
- Process business expenses and vendor payments
- Coordinate travel arrangements
- Complete client/matter intake requests
- Maintain contact lists and coordinate mailings
- Assist with overflow work and special projects
- May perform paralegal duties as assigned
- May train and assist new staff members
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a law firm or professional service organization
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with document management systems, iManage preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Exercises confidentiality and discretion
- Self-starter with willingness to learn
Salary:
- Expected range of $80,000-$100,000 annually

As a Practice Coordinator, you will provide direct support to lawyers by performing administrative and legal work. We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated individual with an interest in the legal profession. This role requires presence in our Chicago office at least three days per week, with flexibility and occasional overtime as needed.
