Human Resources Compliance Manager (Full-Time)
- Manage compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in areas such as wage & hour, family/sick leave, hiring processes, and record retention.
- Collaborate with Talent Management Leadership to address emerging risks and complex employment requirements.
- Conduct audits, provide training, and implement compliance updates.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HR compliance matters and provide guidance to HR team members and management.
- Research new regulations and make recommendations for compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on reporting requirements for EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and other relevant laws.
- Work with applicable teams to implement new policies and procedures for compliance.
- Develop internal controls and policies to ensure all compliance needs are met.
- Regularly audit HR practices, records, and processes for potential compliance issues.
- Provide status reports and analysis on overall progress with employment compliance.
- Update policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
- Communicate and train employees on legal requirements and changes to employment policies.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities.
- Foster strong relationships between administrative departments and teams.
- Support HR Manager on employee matters.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the organization's compliance programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
- Minimum of five years of progressive HR and compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, safety, and development.
- Familiarity with various employment laws and experience working with employment law attorneys.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think and act strategically and tactically in compliance matters.
- Sedentary work environment with occasional walking and standing.
- Close visual acuity required for data analysis and computer work.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range of $125,000 to $142,000.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
