Overview:
- Orrick, a global law firm, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for Litigation.

- The Senior Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving revenue and enhancing the firm's market presence.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in strategic planning, client service, and team collaboration.
- The role requires a deep understanding of Litigation and a passion for meeting client needs at all stages of development.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop go-to-market plans that support Litigation objectives.
- Coach partners on individual business plans and connect them with specialized business development professionals.
- Develop metrics to track progress in collaboration with BD Operations and the data analytics team.
Thought Leadership:
- Work with the Campaign and Communications teams to deliver thought leadership that solidifies the firm's reputation as a Litigation leader.
- Provide input on pitch strategies and value propositions based on sector capabilities and client needs.
- Lead the drafting of pitches, RFPs, and presentations in collaboration with P&P.
- Support and coach partners in delivering a distinctive pitch experience.
Client and Market Insights:
- Collaborate with research and business intelligence teams to share market intelligence and uncover revenue opportunities.
- Formulate plans to target new clients and broaden relationships with existing clients.
Event Management and Communication:
- Provide input on Litigation events, sponsorships, and CLEs.
- Prepare lawyers for conferences, seminars, and networking events.
Storytelling:
- Help communicate the firm's Litigation story internally and to the market.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of marketing experience in business development and marketing for Litigation practices.
- Strong understanding of Litigation clients' needs and a client service approach.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and project management skills.
- Growth mindset and ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Litigation experience preferred.

- Expected salary range: $129,000 - $195,000.
