Job Title: Proposal Manager

Job Responsibilities:
As a Proposal Manager at the law firm, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering high-quality proposals in response to strategic opportunities. This includes preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of qualifications (SOQs), and pitch letters. Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and managing project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables for specific RFP/SOQ projects.
- Coordinating with the National Proposal Team and various departments to ensure timely and effective proposal submissions.
- Tracking RFP/SOQ activities and conducting follow-up with marketing personnel and lawyers to determine outcomes and next steps.
- Documenting and sharing results and best practices with internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency in style across all language content.
- Proofreading, editing, and drafting additional materials as needed.
- Collaborating with Strategic Pricing and Project Management teams, partners, and other stakeholders to develop and align the firm's value propositions and key messages.
- Developing an intimate working knowledge of the firm, its practice groups, and the industries it serves.
- Creating tailored and responsive content from various sources, including subject-matter expert interviews and existing collateral.
- Working with partners to develop strategies for RFP/SOQ responses and coordinating participation and responses across partners.
- Writing and editing original text for client proposals, ensuring a consistent narrative format across practice groups.
- Confirming that proposals meet submission requirements and ensuring proper and timely delivery.

Education and Experience Information:
- A four-year college degree is required.
- A minimum of three years of proposal and/or marketing writing experience at a large law firm or professional services organization is required.
- The candidate should be a dependable, proactive team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated writing ability and aptitude for sales and project management are essential.
- Strong client service ethic and project management skills are required.
- The ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adhere to tight deadlines is necessary.
- Strong leadership qualities, the ability to work independently, and take initiative are important.
- The candidate should be a strong problem-solver and consensus-builder with respect for complementary skill sets.
- A hands-on approach with a proven "make it happen" mindset, demonstrated resourcefulness, and self-directed behavior are valued.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Familiarity with InterAction and Qorus Docs/Breeze is a plus.

Salary Information:
The salary for the Proposal Manager position varies by location:
- Los Angeles: The full-time salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 annually, based on a 40-hour work week.
- San Francisco: The full-time salary range is $130,000 to $150,000 annually, based on a 40-hour work week.
- Seattle: The full-time salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 annually, based on a 40-hour work week.

The salary offered will depend on various factors, including education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location, and business or organizational needs. This position is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
