Law Firm is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Counsel/Partner for multiple offices in Minneapolis, MN; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; and New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other applicable employee benefits laws. ESOP transaction experience is preferred, and a book of business is a plus.

Qualifications:


Must be licensed to practice law in the state where the office resides
10+ years of experience working with ERISA, the IRC, qualified retirement plans, nonqualified plans and executive compensation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience with qualified retirement plans
Experience with welfare plans
Experience with nonqualified plans and executive compensation
ESOP experience, particularly ESOP transaction experience preferred
Book of business a plus, but not required
Ability to build out a practice, with associate attorneys in the future
Large law firm experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position applies to New York. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to portable business, experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $300,000 to $340,000.

Law Firm is looking to hire a Counsel or Partner in their Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Department for multiple offices located in Minneapolis, MN; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; and New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience working with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and other applicable employee benefits laws on matters involving qualified retirement plans, executive compensation, including nonqualified plans and equity compensation plans, and health and welfare benefits. Experience with ESOP transactions is preferred, and a book of business is a plus.
