On Tuesday, John Suthers, the Attorney General of Colorado issued a statement that an investigation by the Consumer Protection Section of the Colorado Attorney General's office has led to the filing of a complaint and the issue of a temporary restraining order against Boobies Rock!, Inc, The Se7ven Group, Say No 2 Cancer, and the owner of the companies, Adam Cole Shryock.

The complaint filed in the District Court of Denver alleges that Shryock, the owner of the companies had used the companies to raise donations for breast cancer, but instead of giving the money for intended causes, he had used most of the money himself for personal gains and luxuries.

The complaint mentions that the defendants have "deceived" consumers both "in and outside Colorado," and "misled thousands of consumers into believing that they were giving money to cancer-related charities, when in fact consumers were giving money to a for-profit business that provided very little money to charity."

The Colorado Attorney General observed in his statement that "Shryock passed through the absolute bare minimum to a series of legitimate nonprofit charities to keep his scheme alive … Moreover , the IRS had no record of awarding tax-exempt status to a company he launched in January 2013, Say No2 Cancer."

Suthers elaborated, "Shryock misled thousands of consumers in Colorado and across the country into believing they were supporting breast cancer-related charities … in reality … Shryock tapped those funds to buy himself a BMW, subscribe to an online dating service, and pay his bar and cleaning service tabs."

According to media reports, the young women employed by Shryock believed they were working for legitimate causes, and they would go into crowded bars to give "Boobies Rock!" T shirts and other items to people in exchange of "donations" for breast cancer.

The principal bank account of Boobies Rock! Shows that between June 2011 and December 2012, deposits amounted to $1, 07,323.26, and more than half of the amount was made in cash deposits. Apparently, donors were so convinced that they mostly made donations in cash!

In August 2011, a former employee who suspected things were not as they should be made a complaint on a popular review website on the Internet.
