The primary campus of the University of Kansas School of Law is found in Green Hall. It's described as a ''modern, five story building with spacious classrooms, a formal commons and a student commons area''. The library, the oldest at any Kansas law school, has a warm respect towards history and the scent of paper and big dreams waft through the huge room. Judges, lawyers, the general public and of course, the student body, can often be found co-mingling throughout the historic building. It's this laid back approach that eliminates concerns for those new students, unsure of what their first semester in law school will entail.
The KU Law motto reads, ''A Great Place to be a Champion'' and these are words the collective school relies on. One thousand acres in a rich historical area of the nation, the entire image is conducive for big dreams and hope for the future.
KU Law has been considered one of the best values from a financial stance; Kiplingers, Kaplans and the Princeton Review have all showcased the school and outlined its method for keeping costs down. The university offers and provides assistance in everything from eBill options, financial aid, housing assistance, scholarships, Veterans services, and of course, the University Career Center.
Ideally, the school looks for parent involvement. The KU Parents Assistance Program was founded so that parents could play a pivotal role every step of the way for their college student. Few law schools are this dedicated. KU Law takes its responsibility for every student seriously; it provides counseling and psychological/psychiatric services for any student in need and it incorporates and encourages the Jayhawk Buddy System.
Every state in the US is represented at the University of Kansas School of Law; further, more than 110 countries are represented as well. With technological advances in research efforts, the arts and politics, there is much for any law student
to take in. In 2010, the Fiske Guide reported:
The wooded and hilly campus is actually one of the loveliest in the United States.
''Prestigious academics, supportive atmosphere, fierce school spirit and winning athletics'' - these are all traits KU offers. It's so much more, though. Students are drawn to the energy, they want to be a part of it, to feel that energy and define the future. There is no better law school to accomplish this than the University of Kansas School of Law.
